Anxious? Stay in your time zone

I'm dedicated this month to sharing with you tips to help you become a less anxious version of yourself.
If you have been following for a while you know that I'm one of my goals is to help people learn how to manage stress and anxiety because I know firsthand how

these emotions can harm your body. Stress is detrimental to your health, and one of the main contributors to many chronic illnesses such as blood pressure, adrenal fatigue, hormone imbalances, and even autoimmune disorders. So it is very important to me to help you manage these feelings.
But guess what? stress and anxiety are not a real thing! Stress and anxiety are NOT caused by circumstances or our environment, instead, they are caused by thinking stressful thoughts about our circumstances and environment. Nevertheless, what I’ve learned through experience thus far is that an anxious mind is a powerful mind, and it can outrun and outwit rational logic any day of the week, so your journey won’t be easy, but it IS possible to retrain your thoughts. Plus, I’m here to support your efforts!
Anxiety tends to be a future-oriented state of mind, so when you’re trying to calm yourself, it’s important to reel yourself back into the present tense.
This can be difficult because as humans, we’re designed to be on high alert for danger, and with information coming at us from all directions and at high speeds, this adaptation is starting to work against us.
Sometimes it can feel as though anxiety protects us from what COULD happen, which is valid to an extent - but to what effect?
Letting anxious or negative thoughts take control of our minds is like walking around every day with an umbrella waiting for it to rain - is it worth it?
The next time you find yourself spiraling into a tornado of anxious and negative thoughts, try the 3-3-3 rule. Look around you and name three things you see. Then, name three things you hear. Finally, move three parts of your body. This trick can help center your mind and bring you back to the present moment when your brain is running a million miles a minute.
