physical stress. This includes adrenal fatigue that can take a physical toll on the body, as well as anxiety, a common psychological side effect of chronic stress. Additionally, ashwagandha helps to balance glucose levels in the body, lower blood pressure, reduce brain cell degeneration, and increase sex drive. Ashwagandha and its extracts are commonly taken in the form of herbal teas, powders, tablets, and syrups. Ashwagandha can be difficult to consume in its raw form due to its bitter taste. So today, I'm sharing with you another way to use ashwagandha. Try these ashwagandha cookies: Ingredients: 1/2 cup refined wheat flour Pinch of salt 2 tsp Ashwagandha powder 1/4 cup butter 1/8 cup sugar or a tablespoon or two of a healthy sugar substitute like honey or agave 1/4 cup milk substitute Instructions: Sift the flour, salt, and ashwagandha powder together 3-4 times with a sieve and set aside. Melt the butter in a pan. Add sugar to the melted butter and mix well. Next, add milk and mix together. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mix, and knead into a dough. Form the dough into cookies on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 375 F for 2-3 minutes. Enjoy!
As you know I don't recommend either eating too much butter or sweets. so these treats are nice every once in a while, but I don't recommend them daily. for a daily tonic, it is better to take ashwagandha tea or tincture. Ashwagandha also works well in a moon milk along with cardamom and cinnamon. Yum! Happy Sunday! Toni
