Establish a Morning Routine to Promote Self-love

Happy February! We often associate February with love, particularly love for others. However, the most important love is the love we have for ourselves. Self-love means accepting yourself as you are in this very moment for everything that you are. Self-love means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your

well-being to please others. Self-love means not settling for less than you deserve. It means accepting your emotions for what they are and putting your physical, emotional, and mental well-being first. And this could mean:
  • Talking to and about yourself with love
  • Prioritizing yourself
  • Giving yourself a break from self-judgment
  • Trusting yourself
  • Being true to yourself
  • Being nice to yourself
  • Setting healthy boundaries
  • Forgiving yourself when you aren’t being true or nice to yourself
For many people, self-love is another way to say self-care. To practice self-care, we often need to go back to the basics and
  • Listen to our bodies
  • Take breaks from work and move/stretch.
  • Put the phone down and connect to yourself or others, or do something creative.
  • Eating healthily, but sometimes indulge in your favorite foods.
A great way to practice self-love is by establishing a morning routine that allows us to cultivate positive daily habits and prioritize self-care. That is why I will dedicate this month to talk about how and why to establish a morning routine that not only prioritizes self-care but also helps manage stress and anxiety and helps you feel happy throughout the day.

    Dr. Toni is a Best-selling author, Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) & Registered Herbalist in San Diego, California. She holds a PhD in psychology, and a Clinical Herbalist Certificate, an HHP certificate and is a Certified Trainer in the Success Principles. In private practice as a HHP  she has been influenced by a variety of clinical modalities and orientations, and by the diverse life experiences of her clients. Toni’s approach to healing is holistic & transpersonal. In her work, she integrates the principles of Eastern and Western nutrition, herbololgy, energy medicine, Buddhist mindfulness and personal counseling to assist others in working through their physical or emotional blocks to attain optimal health.
