Tips to manage the side effects created by anxiety and stress

Hi, this is the last blog post of the month, which means next week I will be discussing a new topic. I'm happy you decided to join me this month and my hope is that you’re feeling a little more confident when it comes to finding methods for dealing with stress and anxiety. To finish up this topic I like to leave you with a few reminders to manage stress:
Picture
  • Stress and anxiety will always cause damage to your body - and eventually will create disease no matter how well you eat or how much exercise you do, therefore it is very important that you find ways to manage it.
  • To prevent and treat adrenal fatigue, stress also must be managed. There are many times throughout the day our body is in a state of stress, and we may not even realize it. Tense muscles from sitting or straining at the computer can cause this. This strain can easily be remedied by completing a mental body scan several times a day. You may notice if you are holding on to tension without realizing it. Remind yourself to relax your face. Relaxing your face will instantly calm your breath and signal your body that you are not in a state of stress.
  • Try including the following steps to your daily routine:
  1. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet.
  2. Get eight hours of sleep by going to bed at the same time every night
  3. Avoid stretching yourself too thin by saying NO when you have reached your limit
  4. Do something relaxing every day, such as a warm bath, walk in the park, yoga, meditation, etc.
  5. Eat a healthy breakfast before 10 am containing fruit and protein, for example, apple slices with peanut butter or eggs with an avocado
  6. Avoid alcohol, sugar, processed foods, and dairy
  7. Supplements. Take vitamin C and B vitamins
  • Adaptogen herbs are essential to fight the side effects. There are many adaptogens and each has its unique properties that can help with specific types of stressors. However, here is a list of the most useful herbal adaptogens for adrenal fatigue: Holy basil, Ashwagandha, Licorice, Ginseng, and Astragalus. You can take them in tincture form, pill, or tea form, but the easiest and most efficient way to consume adaptogens is through an herbal formula like the one I have designed. You can get it on my website. Click here to view the product
Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns, too. Many of you have already written to me, and I LOVE hearing from you, so keep it coming!
Happy Monday!
Toni
P.S. My radio show is moving to a new station... I'm going rogue and leaving the law of attraction radio network. So I'm starting my own podcast. Here is the link to listen for FREE, no subscription required
