To understand how to cleanse and detoxify, let’s begin by talking about toxicity. Toxicity is the degree to which a substance, either a toxin or poison, can cause harm. Here are two medical distinctions of toxicity:
My definition of toxicity also includes the toxins created in our bodies by negative emotions and the negative people in our lives, since both create biochemical reactions in our bodies that impact our health. More on this on the weeks to come.
The body’s natural process for detoxification is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin.

Three- to seven-day juice fasts (drinking only fresh fruit and vegetable juices and water) can be an effective way to release toxins from the body. However, this type of detox can be too extreme and stress your body. Other longer duration detox diets include:
TO PREVENT DISEASE, CLEANSES AT LEAST TWICE A YEAR AND EVEN BETTER IF YOU DO IT ONCE A QUARTER.
To get started, it is essential to first identify your goal and select the cleanse you think is right for you. Your goals can be anything like:
Next, determine if you would like to implement the cleanse by yourself or with the help of a qualified health care practitioner.
