Never use an essential oil straight on your skin, nearly all essential oils should be heavily diluted with a carrier oil or lotion before application. Like in this is a wonderful and simple body oil recipe that you can make at home:
SOOTHING BODY OIL FOR DRY SKIN – RECIPE
Instructions
Pour all ingredients into a dark glass bottle with a nozzle. Store in a dark, cool cupboard. Shake before use. Apply liberally to the skin. Although you can use your oil right away, it's best to let your oil sit for a couple of weeks before you use it. This allows the essential oils scents to combine and fuse. Otherwise, the scent will be less fragrant, and the oils will not have had as much time to blend into one scent.

Always remember when it comes to choosing the right essential oil for your skin, what works for one person may not work for another — it’s important to consider your allergies and sensitivities because some essential oils can be irritating to people with sensitive skin or allergies. The best way to make sure an essential oil won’t irritate is to test in a small area first, for example on the inside of your elbow and wait 24 hours.
